Universal Health Care

Before the Nation has another big government spending (permanent) program slammed in its face by big spending forces in the Legislative (Congress) and the Executive (Obama Administration) branches, please consider the following.
  • Healthcare amounts to about 20% of the total money spent by all Americans each year.
That will be added to Government spending and our taxes.
  • Presently the following Government run programs are "bankrupt", Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, due to government corruption, Congress appropriating the assets for other non approved programs, mis-spending and fraud at the level of execution in the Federal, State and Local elements of each program. The Government cannot manage anything well...so why would we give them more of our money and economy to manage?

Now Obama and the left-wing Congress who only have eyes for welfare spending and spending for the lobbyists and their companies who put them into office, will take the money from all hard working Americans, those of us who have paid taxes faithfully each year, and give it into waste that will likely double the spending for Healthcare and provide far less in benefits for most Americans.

Is this Democracy? Most of us believe that all Americans should have some form of coverage. However the "system" does not need to be fixed for most Americans. Let us change it for those who need incentive and structure, and in a manner that provides incentive and true transparency in execution.

President Obama promised before he was elected and then again on April 15Th 2009, that taxes would not be raised for any American families earning less than $250,000 per year. That already is a lie, as over 2 trillion dollars has been approved in the overall "Economic Recovery" (Spending) plan that is over and above our annual budget. Add to this a comparable amount for Universal Healthcare, and it is clear that the money simply does not exist.

Already lobbyists are converging on Congress more than ever for their piece of the pork. Democracy will fail if we allow this to happen. Additionally, when we consider how the upcoming Energy Bill (Cap and Trade) will also have a negative effect on our economy, as it penalizes US based businesses, and citizens, possibly being added to Government takeover of Healthcare, Economic Recovery spending, Bailouts for failed corporations, it is clear that our futures are under attack by an ideology based group of incompetent legislators in the left-wing controlled Legislative and Executive branches of our government.

We cannot allow this to continue.

I would urge all whom I can to write, email, see your Congressional representatives, State Representatives, Local and all whom you can, to tell them that you will be watching how they vote and act when the Universal Healthcare bill is voted upon. There are answers to this problem in the Private Sector, as discussed by Mitt Romney and executed in his tenure as a Governor. Surely we can come up with a plan that is not yet another power grab by Congress and the Whitehouse.
